Well I think it’s pretty well-known that the President should have taken quite a few measures before the disaster took place:
The President should not have used liners instead of well casing downhole.
The President should not have set the bottom plug in a thief zone. Mud losses and shale cuttings in the mud returns should have told the President to keep drilling until a solid formation was encountered.
The President should have used a trace marker to determine if the cement had risen the required 500 feet above the pay zone.
The President should not have used a well design that would allow hydrocarbons to enter the wellbore through an open aperture in the annulus.
The President should not have run a production liner, the outside area of which would make it weight-neutral or buoyant.
The President should have run a bottoms-up before cementing and before setting the production liner and analyzed cuttings and other detritus in the mud returns, as well as checking for gas and oil entrainment.
The President should not have run a negative pressure test while chasing a pressure anomaly from one volume to another within the well.
The President should not have been conducting operations on a well which had already had four well control events, when the BOP blind rams were not functional.
The President should have activated the blind rams and the TIW valves before deploying the annulars.
The President should not have ignored emails from Halliburton warning of a potential for severe gas flow.
The President should never have said “who cares, it’s done, end of story, will probably be fine. . .”
As far as I am concerned, this is ground for impeachment. The President is a lousy driller.
