Washington Post’s Kessler Must Retract
Looks like Israel’s media arm is fast at work with the new history. That’s the whole point on telling lies, PR flacks in training. Once you tell them, they get repeated and repeated. People become emotionally committed to them (esp re: highly charged events). When the ‘clarification’ comes later, it carries neither the timeliness nor the emotional impact of the lie. Thus, the lie is disseminated far more widely and quickly, than the truth (still struggling with its shoes and fact checks and such).
