Why it’s not going to be close in 2012

AFP: Obama says Republicans would ‘cripple’ America http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5gTFWhHFI7h6w6_EYcWtp-GWt9TsQ?docId=CNG.74c873b2ee28ca61f62f7806e68d8e1b.391

Later, in San Jose, the president portrayed Republican presidential candidates as extreme and suggested their conservative audiences were not reflective of mainstream America. “Has anyone been watching the debates lately?” he asked. “You’ve got a governor whose state is on fire denying climate change,” Obama said, referring to Texas Governor Rick Perry. “You’ve got audiences cheering at the prospect of somebody dying because they don’t have health care, and booing a service member in Iraq because they are gay.”

The rational folks in the country realize that Obama has been trying, continually, to find a way to work with these folks, only to continually have that outstretched hand slapped away.

Trust me, now that Obama has established that high ground, he’s going use it strategically over the next year to dominate the polls.

There is a slight question about the possibility of major scandal, but for someone who doesn’t seem to have nefarious proclivities, it’s just not that likely.
