NEW YORK (AP) —The Occupy Wall Street movement has close to $300,000, as well as storage space loaded with donated supplies in lower Manhattan. It stared down city officials to hang on to its makeshift headquarters, showed its muscle Saturday with a big Times Square demonstration and found legions of activists demonstrating in solidarity across the country and around the world.

RPN spent the afternoon today interviewing folks at Occupy Dallas.  During the interview, a man walked up and gave them $60, just for grins.   That organization is flush with cash and supplies at the moment.

We’ll paste the interview tomorrow, but calling these ‘regular folks’ would be accurate and boring.  The plan right now is more focused on just occupying things than making specific demands. 

Plenty more to come, at it looks like there at at least two more months of this in Big D, alone.  To say nothing of the blossoming international movement.
