What charitable 1 percenters can’t do is assume responsibility—America’s national responsibilities: the care of its sick and its poor, the education of its young, the repair of its failing infrastructure, the repayment of its staggering war debts.
Pretty awesome essay that destroys the right wing taking points on higher taxes. The sad part?…the idiots that believe them can’t read a whole essay, and will miss how Stephen King destroys each of their talking points even as they repeat them.
Check the comments on the article for this modern absurdity of ignorance to commence in full.
He doesn’t ‘wreck’ anything…..if he actually believed his BS…….he’d show up at IRS office with a check for what he THINKS he should be paying…….instead of just running his mouth for an election year stunt……that makes Stevie a tool.
And I wrote…”Check the comments on the article for this modern absurdity of ignorance to commence in full.”
And then you did just that.
Why isn’t he doing that?
“Tough shit for you guys, because I’m not tired of talking about it. I’ve known rich people, and why not, since I’m one of them? The majority would rather douse their dicks with lighter fluid, strike a match, and dance around singing “Disco Inferno” than pay one more cent in taxes to Uncle Sugar.

Which is to say…Stephen already pointed out how your smart ass non-answer doesn’t work. Charity ain’t going to get the trash taken out, or roads repaired. Or pay for the wars we just put on credit (payed for by tax cuts…that’s how it works out).
