When your industry has been paying waaaaay less than the potential liability for your product, these kinds of situations can present. You can not convince a man of something he is being paid not to understand. That’s the root of the climate “skeptic” industry and its very obvious MO.

Perhaps, but it could also be for the reasons the denialists have been saying over and over to the alarmists for years now. The alarmists are just plain wrong.
