Republicans go to bat for huge corporation looking to end competition, stop me if you’ve heard this before….

Three Republican members of Congress aren’t happy with the recent decision by the Department of Justice to block AT&T’s proposed $39 billion acquisition of T-Mobile. In a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder and Federal Communications Commission Chairman Julius Genachowski, Representatives Joe Barton (R-Tex.), Fred Upton (R-Mich.), and Greg Walden (R-Ore.) asked for briefings describing the specific concerns of both agencies and “how these concerns relate to the impact on jobs and economic growth.”

Well, idiots, normally when two huge companies merge, they have duplicate staff and fire a bunch of people.  Consolidation is cheaper and requires less jobs that competition.

If you folks gave the slightest shits about anyone or thing with a net worth under a hundred million dollars you would already know this.   Hell, a basic business or economics course would cover it.
