We’ve now expanded our character portrait images to include an “exit” image,as the character is defeated (or victorious). This is something that was barely not quite possible when we started this project, but now character consistently (even across styles) is a fairly common feature of modern image generation models. The ones below are all done with Nano Banana (Gemini-2.5-flash-image).
To start, a Fungi Communist, ready to face the proletariat in the Dungeon.

This was created from an image of a Pusheen stuffy from one of my daughters. Alas, it did not make it, falling to the Goblin Mage, Level 2.

We had a Panda Engineer, all ready to face the horrors of the Dungeon.

But he too, fell to the horrors. The Jabberwock Brute, Level 2, proved too much.

This Kobold Warlock was ready for the Dungeon.

and the Dungeon was ready for him.

Then a Platonic Nomad took the field…

And fell like the rest, this time to a Minotaur Dark Paladin, Level 11.

Then we have an Angel Assassin (based on a photo of the Creator).

And yet, not enough…falling to the Mermaid Cage Fighter, Level 9.

And finally, the Ox Socialist took the field.

And somehow, some way, they were able to retrieve my phone, make it to the final exit, and Ascend! This is the first time we get to see a final portrait.

And so it goes. The models still suck at bows.
